The GFI Art Gallery Free entry

(The GFI Art Gallery formerly known as the Ron Belling Art Gallery)

The GFI Art Gallery is a converted Art Deco house situated in the centre of Parkland, Port Elizabeth. From a very young age, Ron Belling developed a love for both aircraft and ships. He spent the bulk of his spare time researching and illustrating them. The Gallery houses the Ron Belling Aviation Collection as published in the book ‘A Portrait of Military Aviation in South Africa’. In some months, the Gallery holds exhibitions of the work of other prominent, contemporary South African artists, especially those living in the Eastern Cape. Both the Gallery and the Aviation collection are privately owned and were acquired for the benefit and appreciation of the community. A 15 minute DVD covering the life of Ron Belling is available for viewing.
